Radnor-based Lincoln National is once again one of the highest-ranked Philadelphia area companies on the Fortune 500 list, coming in at No. 188, writes Kennedy Rose for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The company dropped one spot compared to last year, but still managed to preserve its place in the top 200 of the annual list published by Fortune magazine which ranks 500 of the largest corporations nationwide by revenue.

This year, the 500 companies that made the list posted $14.2 trillion in combined revenue, making up two-thirds of the nation’s economy.

Lincoln National came fourth for the region’s companies with nearly $17.3 billion in total revenue for last year. This ranks it behind only AmerisourceBergen, Comcast, and DuPont.

Nationwide, Walmart remained in first place with total revenue of $524 billion last year, followed by Amazon. The eCommerce giant took over second place thanks to its impressive revenue growth of 21 percent last year that brought its total to $281 billion in 2019.
