Spiezle Architectural Group Inc., which recently moved from Media to larger offices in Springfield, is looking to diversify and has acquired a Camden firm to meet that goal, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Spiezle has acquired City Invincible Architecture, Interiors and Urban Design. City Invincible brings urban planning, multifamily and mixed-use development experience.

“We strategically plan every year and ask what we can add to our firm to complement our services,” said Thomas Perrino, CEO of Spiezle.

Spiezle uses targeted acquisitions to expand its practice either geographically along the East Coast or to bring in additional services it can provide clients. In 2016, it acquired GS Architects of Havertown as a way to add health care and hospital interior design expertise.

City Invincible’s Angelo Alberto has been a friend of the Spiezle architectural firm for years and the “timing became right to join together,” Perrino said.

Spiezle moved last month to 4,600 square feet offices at 900 W. Sproul Road from 321 W. State St. in Media where it had been since 2007.

The firm is working on a new middle school for Lower Merion School District.
