Glen Mills has the ninth highest rents in the Philadelphia region, according to a report from Rentcafe.

The average monthly rent in Glen Mills was $1,896, a 5.1 percent increase over one year.

Philadelphia area ZIP codes claim eight spots in the top 10 most expensive ZIP codes in Pennsylvania.

The city itself holds the top spot, ZIP code 19147, where the average rent is $2,673. It also boasts the highest yearly growth, 6 percent.

Wynnewood ZIP code 19096 is in the seventh spot, where the average rents are $2,080, a significant increase of 4.6 percent year-over-year.

The last in the top 10 is ZIP code 19127 in Philadelphia. Rents averaged $1,894, up 5.8 percent compared to 2018.

The most-coveted locations for high-paying jobs and opportunities, New York City and California grabbed the most spots in the top 50 as priciest places to live in the U.S.

Out of the 50 most expensive ZIP Codes, 28 are in New York City, with 26 in Manhattan and one each in Queens and Brooklyn.  California has 18 and four ZIP codes come from Boston.
