Lehigh Valley restaurateur George Paxos has added another stunning eatery to his fine list of establishments, with the stylish American grill Firepoint now open in Newtown Square, writes Michael Klein for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The new eatery is on the edge of the new Shops at Ellis Preserve, and features 250 seats, an open kitchen, glassed-in wine room, and an indoor and outdoor bar.

The lunch menu, overseen by Starr alum Chef Hugh Moran, will include soups, salads, starters, burgers, sandwiches, and wood-fired pizzas. Dinner will add steaks, rotisserie chicken, pork, and seafood to the delicious selection.

Paxos, who was born in Greece and came to the U.S. as a child, has spent his entire life around restaurants.

“I did everything in the restaurant, bussing tables, cooking, whatever I had to do,” he said.
