Radnor-based Safeguard Scientifics has welcomed the president of Wayne’s Mobiquity, Scott Snyder, as its first-ever Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, writes Michelle Caffrey for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

“I’m excited about what Safeguard has already built and the ability to interact with these almost 30 companies in the portfolio,” said Snyder, who is also a professor at Penn.

Prior to this new role at the company, Snyder sat on Safeguard’s advisory board for the past decade. His role is now changing to a full-time position to enable him to better help position Safeguard and its partner companies for even greater success.

His previous experience includes executive positions at Lockheed Martin and GE. He was also CEO of Decision Strategies International, and headed up the analytics software company OmniChoice.

In addition to working one-on-one with companies to execute and manage strategies, Snyder noted that his biggest task is going to be staying focused on the bigger picture.

“As I look at the future, there’s never been a more exciting time to be in tech-driven ventures,” he said.
