One new COVID-19-related death from Chester was reported Monday, June 14, according to the Chester County Health Department.

The health department is reporting a total of 1,455 COVID-19-related deaths in Delaware County.

Of those, 839 were in long-term care facilities and personal care homes.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 48 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

The Chester County Department of Health site reported 7 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Delaware County between Friday, June 11 and Monday, June 14. Total cases for June 14 are 49,846.

Prospect Park continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 752, affecting 11.58 percent of its 6,492 population.

Upper Darby has the most total cases, with 7,446 cases reported, or 8.97 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

The county has had 251,965 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 96.05 percent recovery rate.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, June 14, there were 814 new cases of COVID-19 statewide. Total cases now number 1,208,683.
